Faulty Dreams mattress

Hi guys,

My mattress has developed a fault and I've just looked at the purchase date and it's just out of the 12 month guarantee, I've found the receipt and the credit agreement with Barclays dated 04/01/2013

Do I have any chance of getting this looked at my Dreams store for a repair or replacement ?
Surely a bed should last longer than a year ? Would it fall under a manufacturing problem ?

Thanks :)

We have no way of knowing whether its an inherent fault or not as 1) you havent even told us what the fault is and 2) it may require an expert to say whether its inherent or user based.

Best thing to do is approach the retailer and see what they say. Some retailers will look at it or offer a repair/replacement with no hassle (especially if its just out of warranty). However the shop are within their rights to refuse a remedy unless you prove the fault was inherent - normally achieved by obtaining an independent report - the cost of which the retailer will be liable for if the report finds in your favour.

However as I said above, best to ask the retailer first as they may offer a repair/replacement without requiring the report.

It's basically started to sagg on the side I sleep, there is also a spring that has broken that is sticking up into the memory foam top, could be the reason why it's sagging on my side, I will pop in the shop tomorrow and speak to the manager. Thanks for the reply.

Was it delivered on the 4th of Jan?

It may have been delivered later and therefore a guarantee may still apply.
