Help please - VW Sharan

Hi,
I have a 1997 VW Sharan that has only genuinely done 36000 miles and is a very reliable car but just recently I have a puddle of water in the drivers well - does anyone know what could be causing this please and if its an easy job to rectify without major expense.

Thank you in advance
Dora x

    It could be the rain?
Seriously though you need to determine if it is rainwater and nothing else like coolant leaking from a hose or heater matrix. Assuming it is only rainwater then check for leaks around the windscreen and then see if the drains at the bottom of the windscreen, usually under plastic mesh or under the bonnet, have got blocked up with leaves and clear them out. If you can't do this, it should be a cheap fix by a local garage.
  • Thank you EdGasket - it is definitely rainwater so will get hubby to check for blockages at the weekend when he is home. Thank you for your advice.
