Parking fine - disabled space - parking eye

Hello,
Today me and my husband went to Giltbrook retail park, Nottingham with our 22 month old daughter. There are only 8 child and parent spaces and there's were all full, as was the car park. We came across a free disable space, which we decided to park in as this not only gave us the space we required to get my daughter out but was the only space available.
I left a brief note in the windscreen on an envelope stating 'there were no free parent & child spaces free' .
We were only away from the car for 20 minutes, when we returned there was a £50 parking fine on our windscreen from 'Parking Eye'.
Is there anything we can do. We would never normally park in a disabled bay but we needed the space to get our toddler out of the vehicle safely.
Thanks

there is no possible excuse for parking in those bays as they are for the use of disabled people only, as per the EQUALITY ACT 2010 , which is the law and why they are provided
its also not a fine, its a parking charge invoice
that aside, please read through this advice in here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
tells you everything you need to know
in future, please leave those bays free for people like myself to use , ie:- those of us who are protected under the 2010 EA laws because if such a person had turned up in those 20 minutes they could not have parked due to you blocking that space with your unauthorised vehicle, which should have been parked in a normal bay if no gimmicky bays were free
thank you0 -
You are not going to get much sympathy on here because of your actions, I'm sorry but the disabled bays are for people who have need of them because they are disabled or with someone disabled! Don't do it again! Parent bays are a gimmick not an entitlement, disabled bays are a requirement under the Equality Act 2010
I am not here to lecture though, so I gather this is a ticket on the car and you are the registered keeper? And is this England or Wales? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
