Is a POA necessary? Did you father stipulate he wanted this?
You could just sign the paperwork for buying the property yourself and let your dad live in it.
I agree with everyone else that you need some proper legal advice thoughFaith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -
If you give your father POA, he can do anything with your money and possessions - it wouldn't just give him control over the property he wants to buy.0

As Linton said, the POA requires by law that your father only uses it in YOUR best interest. Anything else would seem to be liable to being seen as fraudulent.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0
