Hi
I am doing the moonwalk in May and need somewhere to stay near Clapham Common or easily accessible by tube.
Any recommendations?

There is a Travelodge at Clapham Junction, that often has cheap rates and about a mile from Clapham Common.0 -

There's also a Travel Lodge next to Balham station which is on several bus routes to Clapham Common or you can hop on the Northern Line for a couple of stops.0

Rather appropriately named http://www.eurohotelslondon.co.uk/hotel/euro-hotel-london-clapham
It overlooks the common and is 200m from Clapham South or Clapham Common tube stations (Both Northern Line)
There's free parking about 15 min walk away from noon on Fridays until 10am on Monday0 -
There are a couple of hotels by the common. Otherwise I'd go for the Balham suggestion above. It no further than the Clapham Junction travelodge, or scarcely if it is, and the trip's simpler whether on foot or by bus and you have the tube option although I probably wouldn't bother with that for such a short trip.
I don't know that event but many events use the middle to southern side of the common. The southern tip's probably only 15 mins on foot from Balham Travelodge.0
