Noddle Credit Score Confusion

Options
I read on here that credit scores aren't held as highly as the Credit Reference agencies would have us believe. I was a bit sceptical of that view until very recently.

Last year I got a Noddle credit score of 2/5, but wasn't really concerned as I didn't need any credit. I was just being a bit nosey.

Recently I needed a new credit card, and I thought I would recheck my score, and like many people I've forgot my password. Couldn't be bothered asking for a new password so re-registered with a different email address.

My score on the new account was 3/5.

As happens every month I got an update on my old Noddle account, so I tried to remember what my old password was, and I did remember. The credit score on that account was still 2/5.

As I'm the same person on each account, and I have the same history on both accounts, how can I get different scores?

I've just checked them both again now, one is 2/5, and the other 3/5.

Taking that aside, I've just got a 29 month 0% balance transfer, so I think even the 3/5 one is wrong.

The scores mean nothing and the lenders dont even see them, what matters to lenders is whats on your file eg history of not paying debts, CCJ's etc.
  • These scores that CRA's are giving the gullible pubic is becoming an epidemic.

It's literally becoming beyond the joke now.

I understand that, but my point is how the CRAs arrive at a score in the first place.

Do they just guess, or do Noddle give a low one trying to mug people into buying their 'get a better score' services?

    Alarmingly correct on both counts.

Credit scores don't exist, but CRA's have a found a market where they can make money.
