Have just found 3 unopened packs of scones, all at least a couple of weeks out of date. They look fine (no mould, etc).
Before I chuck them in the bin has anyone got any ideas what I could make with them - maybe some type of dessert??
Thanks in advance

Make trifle, and use them in place of the sponge base.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

use them in a bread & butter pudding?
I sometimes do this as there's a coffee shop locally that sells off cheaply all the ones that haven't sold that day. if they have cheese ones left over, I make a savoury one.
You could probablu use them as a topping over stewed fruit, like a cobbler.0 -
Sometimes stale scones & bread are fine when heated in oven. Although not sure about being weeks ood. In future freezing might be the best idea.0

I would warm them in the oven too0

Im sure they would be lovely toasted, toasting is very forgiving

Use them as a base for making a fruit shortcake, basically just split them and warm them in the oven which will refresh them, fill them with a fruit compote or fresh strawberries and some thick cream and they'll be a very nice dessert.0
