The charity said only if they are unstained and i can't be ars=d going through 6-10 bags checking for stains!
They are mostly feathered duck or geese down quilts, if they take them how much should i expect to get per bag?
If not i'll try an animal shelter but it would be nice to make something from them.

I take all my rags & broken shoes/handbags to the PDSA - they've never told me they can only take unstained items. I know I've taken towels with hairdye stains in the past - but they have been washed beforehand & I realise that would be difficult & costly to do feather duvets.
perhaps try another charity shop?.0 -

We don't have an animal charity near us but if i can't make anything from them i'd certainly go out of my way to find an animal shelter or similar.0 -
Stick them on gumtree with the caveat that they may be stained & let those who want to put the effort into making their own down duvets, parkas etc compete to take your arm off.
Honestly, there are folk who convert the old eiderdowns to duvets, and anything feather filled into really warm jackets etc - so no matter what the weight, try listing them & see!0 -
I have spent weeks, literally weeks looking for down and feather stuff in the past for DIY camping equipment, seriously get 'em on gumtree!!0

The rag men that buy off charity shops dont take pillows or duvets as they cnanot be converted by them so the shop then has to put them in their bins which use up lots of expensive space. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news xClearing the junk to travel light
