Very old duvet - any uses?

Options
I have finally decided that my 25-year old 4.5 tog double summer duvet really is at the end of its useful life - it has been washed so many times that it is starting to fall apart. Only thing is I'm not sure what to do with it - does it have any further uses? I hate throwing anything away if there is another possible use for it.

And if there is no hope whatsoever, how does one dispose of old duvets these days? Somehow I can't see myself stuffing it into the wheelie bin.....

Any bright MSE ideas?

I used one for making draught excluders last year. These are really simple to make but so expensive to buy. You could make a few and sell them :)

I forgot to mention that I can't sew - as in, really can't sew! Is there any way of giving the quilt to a deserving cause where people who can sew can make use of it for stuffing etc.?
