firefox addon help please

just installed firefox for the first time. downloaded the favicon addon but for the life of me i cannot work out how to activate it. it is showing in my addons list but there is no button to get it to start working?
in other words none of my bookmarked sites are showing an icon.
i'm feeling rather stupid here. could someone please instruct me and put me out of my misery.

as an update. if i visit an individual site the icon for that site is stored, but i want the addon to access all my bookmarked sites at once to install their icon. just cant work out how to do this!!


EDIT: sorted now. right clicking a folder in bookmarks brings up a menu to refresh fav icons which it does for every bookmark not just the folder selected.

I don't know this addon, but what you see is what FF does be default. It saves the favicon when you access the website. It might not have been the case in previous versions, otherwise I wouldn't have bookmarks without favicon. It doesn't really bother me tbh. It just means that I have not visited the bookmarked page for a long time, so this page might not be that important after all ;-)
