Solicitor increased fees after quote

    It's a new build.

    From what I read on here, new builds involve engrossment fees.

    Yes, but of varying amounts.

    However solicitor should have hihlighted upfront that a fee of unknown amount would be charged

    (or "engrossment fees: £200 - £600)

    That's what I was trying to say but don't seem to have made clear!
