I wouldn't lie and say its fine because anyone coming round to look at the car will pick up on all these faults straight away, and if you sell it saying "everything is fine" and its not, then you could be in for some comeback from an annoyed seller.

List it on ebay, be honest, describe its faults, and then at least anyone coming to view it, knows what they are getting themselves into. You may well be surprised as to how much money you get for it on ebay.

If you only have a couple of hundred pounds to put towards another car, are you sure you can afford to run a car? what about tax/insurance/servicing/repairs?

Unblock the Rubber bungs on the bulkhead under the bonnet, that void under the wipers, hunt around you will find them, old leaves and muck bungs em up.
That will cure the floor puddle.
The rear wiper is the relay thats stuck.
    Be happy...;)

    1. Don't lie. Lying is bad.

    2. When you add the £600 you expect to get + a couple of hundred more, what car do you think you'll get to replace it. Another wreck, I would imagine, unless you luck out.

If there's nowt mechanically wrong with the Golf, I'd stick with that until you've saved a bit more money towards a better car. Every time you change cars, you lose money (unless you have a rare combination of luck and skill).

The rear wiper can probably be fixed. And if not that, disconnected. Ditto the radio.

You may end up buying another car with more issues than the one you have now.
