    Morning all,

Not the best nights sleep as DS aged 17 decided to go out to a party and not bother to let me know what time he was coming home so got a text at 3.15 am saying I will be home in five mins:mad: thank goodness he is number 4 and I don't have to go through this again!
Awful wet and windy here. Hubby and I snuggled up and watched the bridge last night, we've really enjoyed it. We shall miss it when it finishes.
Today mum and dad are driving over from Yorkshire and we are going to my middle sons for lunch, my DIL is making pies, yumm. It's my first trip out since I had my operation so I'm looking forward to it.
Back at physio in the morning. I'm doing my exercises religiously so hope they will be happy with me.
Have a lovely Sunday whatever your up to xx

  • Good morning everyone :)

Late one from me again and another great night's sleep. Let's see what tonight brings.

Weather turned dire yesterday afternoon so cooked Taco mince mix then froze it and raided the freezer and made a lovely mixed Thai meal with some prawns and a bit of steak. Asian surf and turf? :rotfl:

Still awful today but need to nip out and get some bits, am waiting for a gap in the rain then going to make a run for it. Lamb and butterbeans for dinner.

Tumble drier needs to go on later. No wonder my electricity DD needs to go up.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day :)

I have some tinned fruit dated bbe Dec 13, will they still be ok?
Absolutely fine; we're only 26 days "over" the bbe date, and look at the length of shelf life tinned stuff has. I'd eat it in a cold second!:o

    Afternoon all,

busy, busy so I've only cast yearning looks at the laptop until now.

Cold and blowy out, so the heating is on and we're dug in until tomorrow.

Beef from freezer and roast veggies for dinner tonight: butternut squash, carrot, mushrooms, courgette, broccoli, onion and cherry tomatoes.

Might have a bit of a sleep soon as I feel weird; I was in a small room with somebody vigorously blowing her nose all day yesterday: came home feeling as if I was crawling with germs.

    Stay warm and safe x

    Afternoon all,

Not posted for a bit,but mostly read every day, just seem to have had a busy couple of weeks with minding Grandchildren etc.DGD has started playgroup 2 mornings a week and loves it,she thinks its like a big party :D I went Wed afternoon to DS2s and went with DiL2b to get DGS weighed and checked he's 9 weeks old now ,and doing well with a lovely little smile:)
Been to see DH elderly auntie & uncle, she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so not good at all,but she was cheerful enough and we had tea & biscuits,& 2 of DH cousins were there too.

Just waiting for tea, pulled pork in bbq sauce, roasties and cauli cheese with trifle for after,(trifle not hm-part of a 2 dine£10 deal.)
Julie we love the Bridge too :D though I struggled to stay awake during the 2nd hour.Anyway the spuds must be done now so I'd better love you & leave you and wish you a good evening and a good nights sleep xx

  • Woke at three by a drunk pawing at the car shouting let me in, he can't have been more than 19 or 20 and when DH told him that he didn't live here he staggered off up the road, about 5 minutes later we heard him shouting again across the road let me in, I hope he got home safely, he was about the same age as DS.

Went up to the farm to get some more coal, potatoes and fresh eggs today, if the forecast is for snow I want to be ready for it.

Fuming at LLyods bank DD has just had to ask me for money because the system is down, that will be the Halifax, TSB and RBS affected as well
Is it me or is this sort of banking glitch happening just too often for comfort?

I am emptying my Halifax account tomorrow and just leaving £10 in it, the rest will be invested in paying off the mortgage and increasing the store cupboard, I have a very uneasy feeling about what is happening in this country and want to be as prepared as possible :(

DD is colouring my hair tonight and I am going to get a trim tomorrow.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

We had a very uneventful day, just spent all day trying to get stuff dried. so the mountain has been reduced to a hill.

Didn't end up baking as my wrists were hurting to much, so resorted buying a loaf and milk. So will do some tomorow instead.

No appointments tomorow so going to focus on pack lunch and baking till I collect ds2 from school.
After that going to dye my hair and plan the garden again :)

But my plan all depends.on my OH allowing me to do things as he's worried, I've limping all day so he's giving me your going,to be banned from walking soon.
