Paper cutter recommendation please
Hi all I've just broken my paper trimmer I've had for the last six years!:mad::mad:
I've no idea which to buy next so I'm asking for help, can anyone recommend one? Please
I'm not wanting one too heavy as I can't lift anything too heavy oh and not a guillotine as I don't have the strength to use them! The last one I had was a rotary one what you push along without having to push down on the paper and put any pressure on it.
Any ideas would be extremely grateful
Thank you very much crafters! X

my sister has one of these - never used it and it seems to have mixed reviews...
What type of thing do you use it for? and what size do you need?
Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

My Fiskars really comes into its own at christmas when I buy larger sheets of card and cut them down for my christmas cards!! It has all the 'A' sizes marked on the bed as well as a really accurate sizing strip in inches and centimeters!!0

As a suggestion, you might like to look on Amazon and find one with lots of favourable reviews. Their descriptions are usually quite good with decent pictures too.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0

I use it when CARD MAKING for cutting papers / card etc plus I enter a lot of competitions and tend to cut my own postcards out of cereal boxes and these need cutting out too! I'm lost without mine use it everyday as can't cut in a perfect straight line to save my life!
There's just so many to choose from its a bit of a minefield but I suppose it's just personal preference.
Thank you for your reply:)Thank you to all competition posters, your :A:A0 -

Yeah I had a look today but there's still quite a few to choose from and each one has amazing reviews and yet other people say it doesn't work at all, I suppose it depends on the person and whether they are actually using it correctly or not!
Thank you for your suggestion, think I'm going to try and have a look at a few tomorrow see if I can try some out as I think this is my best betThank you to all competition posters, your :A:A0 -
I don't have one myself but when this question is asked on other forums a lot of people mention the Fiskars cutter. It's the one with a sliding cutter that can be interchanged with a scoring blade as well. It comes in at least 2 sizes and seems to be small enough not to take up too much space but convenient to use.
Lidl and Aldi do cutters from time to time. I use mine as a back-up and it has a guillotine and a rotary cutter with basic paper size markings. I use it when I have a batch of papers to cut up. On my desk I have a Dahle Swordfish rotary cutter which does the job but I'm not sure I would recommend it.Use your stuff challenge 50/500 -
I have a Martha Stewart one and I love it.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Look for a trimmer that has replaceable blades, fiskars did make one I had it years ago, was very light and you just pushed a shuttle along with blade inside, mine was *borrowed* by the OH for work, still waiting for a replacement0
