Morpeth & Berwick County Court
District Judge Howard
Friday 24/01/2014
3JD05814 Parking Eye v Taylor
One of the guys on Pepipoo sent some last-minute advice to the defendant, who hadn't been on the forums originally, and it appears that PE didn't produce a copy of the landowner contract, relying instead on one of their dodgy "witness statement" documents, allegedly signed by someone from the landholder, not on headed paper and with no address printed, so completely worthless as a piece of evidence.
This is what the defendant put on her Facebook page:
"Well you'll all be pleased to know I won my case at court today with parking eye due to them not producing a contract between themselves and the land holder !!"
The Parking Prankster "Most Incompetent Legal Department" award for 2014 does indeed look to be a close-run thing between PE and Excel, although there's still plenty of time for other contenders to enter the fray.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

Another defeat, more money thrown down the pan for misusing the court system0

These court wins are coming in thick and fast now - is this the same one Trisontana mentions here?
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4851371
Can anyone confirm the exact number of Parking Eye forum assisted court wins now as the ASA are now interested and if accurately reported on their website - they will look into it. (I make it about 15?)
Also if we have an accurate total wins forum assisted wins at POPLA - there is an easy on-line form to complete.
http://www.asa.org.uk/Consumers/How-to-complain/Online-Form/Step1.aspx
with the option of selecting:Are you complaining on behalf of an organisation or body with a direct interest in the subject of your complaint?
Hopefully by complaining this will influence Parking Eye to accurately reflect and update their court page and change the wording regarding forum assisted defeats.0 -
List of PPC Court Cases (non-exhaustive)
I think I have got that up to date except have left off the Barrow case mentioned by Trisontana as I don't have the claim details. And haven't mentioned General Lee's case yet (pepipoo) nor lainieee's set-aside case (from here) because both are not yet completed cases.
Also some cases have been stayed and I think kifl mentioned a Huddersfleid case I didn't know about as well?
Finally we never got the case details of Fox-Jones (pepipoo 'sfoxjones') so that one isn't as useful as it could have been.
Re non-ParkingEye cases I haven't yet added the 'Excel Spreadsheet' one(!) nor the Vinci one someone recently posted about. Will add when I get a mo, if the court details are posted.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Parking Prankster also has a list of court cases lost by Parking Eye:-
http://parking-prankster.com/parkingeye-cases-lost-in-court.htmlWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
All up I make it 19 (Counting Lemon and Harris as two separate cases - even if they were heard together). Also includes the "Barrow" one which was actually Morpeth & Berwick although the total doesn't really take into account the stay in E. Anglia and the potential this could have for a number of cases. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
