Hi there,
I placed my PPI claim in back in July 2012. It is currently with ombudsman.
What could be the reasons why its taking so long to get a solution? I understand they are inundated with claims, but i hear from people having answers from their claim even though they put theirs in more recently.

Have you had your assessment from you're adjudicator - this is normally sent quite quickly (less than a year)?
If you/the bank disagree with the adjudicator and choose to go-to an ombudsman, then Yes, it's taking quite a while at the moment - but you should have been tolled this.
Perhaps, give them a call to see if everything is OK?Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!0 -
I'm trying to claim the PPI through a company. They initially said that the bank was not replying to requests. The latest is that its with the ombudsman. I do not recall any reference to an adjudicator.
I shall ring them up in the week to check on this.
Thanks!0 -
The latest is that its with the ombudsman.
For it to be referred to an ombudsman means that either an adjudicator rejected it and the claims company have appealed or it means an adjudicator has upheld it and the company has appealed.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
