Hi Emperor,
Nearly all of my NSDs are because I have forgotten my purse. Your plan of only having your budget for the day on your person will probably help you to get into the habit of not spending. That's probably the hardest hurdle, making these things habits.
You are doing well though in changing your attitude. Keep it up and keep posting even if you feel annoyed at going off track. We are all here to support not judge or tell you off

Hello everyone!
Its been a little while since I last posted an update. I've just transferred my savings for the month to my savings account and I have managed to put away 62% of my disporablse income this month, so I have finally managed to hit the target. In absolute terms my savings for this month are significantly less than in previous months, but that is due to some large one off costs that I have incurred and for which I hadn't budgeted.
I did go back into the red again this month, but it was significantly less than in previous months and my overdraft is interest free so no charges were incurred. The goal is to gradually reach a point where I can manage with the disposable income that I allow myself without going into the red/eating into my savings.
Also, I didn't get the job that I applied for, which would have resulted in a 10% increase in pay and a significant increase in the amount that I would be able save each month.
I've also been looking at houses and they are just so terribly expensive, I just don't know how I am going to afford to buy a house even if I continue saving as I currently amHence why I need to find a better paying job....
And on that note, I am off to make a sandwhich.
Keep saving :money:0 -
Hello all
It has been a very long time since I have last posted. A lot has happened since I last posted.
I applied for another job that I didnt get, so I am a little bit demotivated at the moment. But I have set myself a deadline of 1 year from now to move out. By hook or by crook I will be out in 12 months, God willing. So my aim over the next 12 months is to save £x00 per month for 12 months, which should give me £x,800 as a start up fund.
So let's make this commitment real by setting a date. By Sunday 19 of September 2015 I will move out. 365 days to go. I have seperated this time period into four distinct and manageable three month periods. I have milestones and actions I need to complete by each period and at the end of period 4 I will move out into my own place.
Period 1 Oct-Dec
Period 2 Jan-Mar
Period 3 Apr-Jun
Period 4 Jul-Sep (final)
Sunday 19 September 2015 - move day :T
Pay day isnt long away now so I'll look forward to that.0 -
Bad luck Emperor on the job, hope something better comes along.0
