Hotels in France

Evening all,

We fancy a change for our holidays this year - I was wondering if anyone can recommend any hotel chains in France where four of us can stay in the one room. Our issue is that the boys are 15 and 13, so technically not classed as children.

Oh, and our budget is more limited than in previous years, so budget chains would be good.

Many thanks

They're not the very cheapest chain but many Ibis hotels have adjoining rooms. Novotel can sleep 4 in one room, I did it recently in Paris.

Mr Bed are quite good if they're near where you want to be

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Have a look at hostels - you can nearly always get a private room, sometimes without en-suite, but shared facilities can be an advantage with older kids - as you can all shower etc at the same time rather than queuing for the bathroom every morning.

We stayed in Climat hotels a few years ago whilst touring France with our Daughters, fairly cheap and cheerful but they suited our budget.

Three types to pick from Ibis, Ibis Styles, Ibis Budget.

Hotel-bb.com have rooms with a double bed downstairs and 2 singles on a mezzanine floor in most of their hotels, some have 2 roll out beds which aren't quite as good, it will state which type in the hotel description. They quote from €54 for a family room and are typically of budget hotel chains, usually slightly out of town but we used them a lot when the kids used to come with us.

Despite the name breakfast is extra.
