Spray Painting Appliances

Is it possible to spray a fridge freezer without it looking like a home made job?

My mother has a white fridge freezer which works fine however would look much better in a darker colour and I (stupidly) said it may be possible to change the colour so now she thinks I will be able to make it happen!

If it isn't possible to spray it is it possible to buy some sort of film to cover it? I guess it would need to be cut to size.

Advice welcome, I think I may have set her expectations a bit too high and I'm under pressure now!

Unless you're skilled, I think you'd find it hard to get a good finish with standard spray cans. I once took my fridge to a back street car bodyshop and they sprayed it for me - looked good once done.

Fablon type sticky back plastic would do the job to too I would have thought - loads of choice on ebay
