In Praise of Talkalk & Carphone|Warehouse

I have a £5 pm contract phone with Talktalk but have been finding the phone supplied was rather slow. Having seen the Tesco offer of a Moto G iI bought one , unlocked but found my existing full size sim would not fit.

Carphone Warehouse offered to trim it down free but warned me that occasionally the sim may not work afterwards , S**s Law it happened. I explained to the assistant that I needed a phone for work and was going away in 4 days time. He tried everything he could to get the sim working but when this failed he rang Talktalk support and ordered me a replacement micro sim which could take 3 to 5 days (from Friday)

Now 24 hours later the new sim is in the phone and working fine.

So a big thank you to all the team, especially Ste at the Huyton branch, on this occasion you really excelled all expectations

Yeah, I've always found Carphone Warehouse fine - they always spend time explaining things, which is helpful for someone as daft as me with gizmos...:doh:

The staff in S!!!!horpe are very helpful, listened to me and sold me exactly what I wanted. Then I suddenly had to get a new phone when I was on a walking holiday so went into the Hartlepool store. Me being a bit dim, and used to the old phone, the assistant seemed a bit miffed that I was asking a lot of questions. I got the impression that I was a bit of a pain to him.
