Phoned the bone marrow registry today about the letter i got on Friday. Apparently the person they have matched me too not only has blood cancer but also hiv. They told me a very small percentage of the European population have a specific marker that can help not only blood cancer but also hiv. It seems i may have it. they have to send me a spit test to do to check some dna things and if it matches i will hear back in about 8 weeks. A bit scary but very worthwhile if it works.

hello folks

took my dad for the results of his pep scan

been told his cancer is still active but will carry on with recent treatment for 2 more cycles and then pep scan him again

hes got a 40% chance now we were told of going towards transplant now

only good thing is his doctor has said he will do all he can as my dad is a young man (61)

my friend died suddenly and she had a donor card they were

able to use everything and my friends partner was touched by

how many letters he got thanking for her donation and a little


insight in how her organs had improved the different receivers

Good point, I only have 69 too ... with DeeDee quoting that the multi wasn't showing yesterday for this item, I wonder if it has filtered into the APG? Or indeed, if most of the multis have been excluded from the APG today?

Has anyone had any instore APGs this afternoon to give an indication please?
