I had a near miss last summer with the firepit. Had cut down a couple of the big trees in the garden and chopped and stored them in the shed. Had a bbq 1 day and when it was getting dark thought i would get a fire going for the guests and ourselves and all was good. After everyone had left and the OH and kids where in bed i was sitting on the decking with some wine and tunes and noticed that 1 big log was not burning that well so i got the petrol for the chainsaw and thought this will help it.;)
    WAIT FOR IT
I doused the firepit with the petrol can with the hose attachment and the next thing i was jumping around the garden as the petrol from the can caught fire and i found myself holding a bomb so i panics and threw the can on the grass but not b4 it had spilled onto my leg and foot( i was only wearing shorts and a vest) so i ended up rolling on the grass to put out the fire on me. Had to go on holiday 2 days later and i had 1 leg with hair and well you can all guess and i still have a couple os small burns to this day from that night.

So the reel message is for all the guys out there do not have a drink and play with petrol. :)

I'm sure that I've seen this on you tube:rotfl:

Has anyone ever heard of the term "double boom"? I read it on 10ways in the context of refund and replace, but I don't recall ever hearing this term before ...

Mmmmm, too many yummy looking goodies on here tonight. I just gave in and snuck a milky bar from the boys treat box :o I shall blame you lot if tomorrow's weigh day doesn't go to plan :p

    *add to previous list

    A NEW LIST:D

:hello:Alright, it's now the turn of Mr A to be a "very expensive" store as lots of A's "Savvy Buys" get ignored for just being too dear, and I think this "starting point" (the list below) is now ready. (This list has come down somewhat - it was around 800 items, including ones that had long expired but I was in theory keeping track of - but now just over 100 items here - I've raised my standards before certain items make the list and excluded some of the chocolates and cakes products as they're just too much money-waste, not essentials really!)

Make sure you check a.com though (and msm both in and out) on the non-own brands that are marked as N/A for A below - need to be as certain as you can that they really are N/A on a.com (and not just N/A in my local A store). Although a.com is the 'official' source for the Sains. BM, I'm saying also msm in and out to see if it appears for Mr A there, as it may not be showing on 'your' a.com yet available for Mr A in some other area.

I've never found the Schwartz product (£2.00 vs, allegedly, 69p) on a.com but it is on msm for me, so presumably it is on a.com in some area somewhere and perhaps BM will pick it up (or not)? That said, the price per unit (PPU) for the product at Mr A's price is quite expensive in my view.

Don't forget max. BM is £10. The list below may also be useful for helping find Tvs A items as quite a few of the below (I've not the time to mark which ones) are also available in T (I really need not say that they are also much more expensive in T than A as, if they weren't, they'd be going onto Avs T and not BM vs A!:rotfl:).

Also you need to be checking a.com in cases Mr A's prices suddenly change overnight. Some of the items on this list have been included even though the price at Mr A is not the best (i.e. cheapest) I've seen - mainly some of those toiletries and shaving products - for example the Shaving Brush I think I've seen at around £2.68 before (wonder where I get that exact price from:rotfl:) for Mr A - but included on this list for you to keep an eye on their prices!

Those Cathedral Citys that have been losing me on the APG making it to this list but of course BM'ing to £2 is far dearer than having a glitch on them in Mr A.

Some of this list has yet to be "Morries-checked" and it's possible some of the lists may be cheaper in Morries (and thus Avs M, unless it's an N/A for A in which case 'buy in M'). I've put ones to look out at Mr M prices onto a separate list (which may, at some point, make it onto here - not yet finished with that one!:rotfl:) and of course you can check m.com and filter out any that turn out there to be cheaper than A. Oats So Simple at £1 in A making it to Svs A, despite my refusal to put 80p McVities Medleys (which are sort of similar product aren't they?) onto Avs S - a lot of items that are slightly cheaper than £1 elsewhere than A I'm not saving onto APG lists if A is straight £1, as no good unless it's on mbuy in A.

We once had a dimmer that completely melted away!

Dimmer switches don't last for ever, we've had to replace some before now. I hope the council accepts that it is responsible for the dimmer and didn't ignore it previously because they think you have fitted it.
