Went to A to get my refund this morning. Thought I would be in and out in a couple of minutes, but no I was there for 30 mins.

Explained to the customer service lady that there should be a message in their diary about a refund I am due and gift card. She asked to see my receipts and started to dispute my refund. I said I have spoke to your Head Office and this very customer service desk yesterday and I am due a refund. I asked her to check the diary as the message will be there. She refused and started to try and write on my receipts. I told her not to and she said she has to when refunding, which I said was fine when you have refunded me but you haven't yet.

She then said come and show me the products you bought on the shelves. Which I did and she then said go back to the desk as she needed to get a hand scanner to check products.

She then returned saying I had received the discount on another product in a different offer. I said this was wrong as the product had already kicked in on the other offer and can't then effect a completely different offer. She then eventually refunded me and gave the gift card.

Told the wife when I returned home and she said I should ring Head Office back as that is terrible customer service.

I rang a bit later and Head Office said it was disgusting and would ring the store for the Customer Services Manager to ring me.

She rang me about half an hour later and apologised and couldn't believe the lady who dealt with me refused to look in the hand over diary. She said she would take my concerns into the next managers meeting and try and identify training needs required by staff in store. She said I should have been refunded when I raised it the first time in store and they had wasted my time and also other staff members time. Also a £5 gift card would be left at Customer Services for me to collect.

I must say everyone I have spoke to at A on the phone have been brilliant. But face to face interaction has been appalling.

According to my bank. I've had the the original amounts pulled from my account. Spoke to asda woman but could hardly understand her as she had a strong accent.

Going to wait for monies to appear on statement and then kick !!! too.

  • Thanks Tweets, just trying to get used to how it all works. Newbie to the site but enjoying it. Mother wants to go to T's this morning so will try the bic pencils again and see if still 1p.

Spent hours last night reading and decoding :)

Can someone give me the lowdown, been away at the weekend, and not had chance to catch up. Many thanks.

    Morning everyone,
Completely missed posting on the entire last thread, and this is my first on this one. :o But I have done the most important thing on both threads and thanked the OP. :p:D
Just back from A's with my birdies too..... was going to wait till I had results before posting, which would probably have been the new thread, but then saw the above (my results not in yet but paid on invoice £2 each for 12 total)...... I have a feeling that this one could be all over now though? I do believe that S price of £2 ends 11/02 so not sure if they would match to £2 if ordered for C&C for tomorrow? Please someone correct me if i'm a mis-informer. :o
Thanks to who-ever was the OP of this deal.... I've missed so much whilst dealing with ill health, but have been lurking as and when I have been able. :T

    Morning peeps. :)

Been to T's. I thing they're slowly delisting the 1p items. When I found the yo-yos the other day they came up item not recognised. Today I found a pair of the JVC colour pop earphones and the T's plain white memo pads (36 of them) both came up as not recognised. :( But saying that, the T's coloured memo blocks are still 1p. 4 boxes are left on the shelf in my local. ;)

Someone posted a link the other day to get a leccy toothbrush for £1, did anyone do it ?
I remember someone posting after saying it looked dodgy.

When you read the comments on that on facebook (was it 10 ways?). people were saying you had to sign up for something that would cost £39 in 10 days time and be able to cancel it before the payment kicked in.....
