    • Asda – we take prices daily from the Asda.com grocery website
    • Sainsbury’s – we take prices daily from the Sainsburys.co.uk grocery website
    • Morrisons – as Morrisons don’t have an online grocery shopping service, we check prices twice a week by visiting stores
We use an independent agency to check the prices for us.

this made me laugh can imagine someone being sent to scan every item in m's :rotfl:

That's the T PP. Meanwhile, the APG...a comp. result coming up in a moment (to help clarify... or cause further intrigue).

That's what they do (apparently) - obviously they have a team of people (I would imagine) but they're probably instore all day. Collecting prices is big business, an industry of itself. It's a job - just like the supermarket's own staff scan and check things all day. My own sadness is for the APG price collectors who are presumably made redundant now. Unless they are moving on to back office jobs at msm or on to scanning prices in Lidl.

What a job!:( It's a job of tedium and becomes boring for most people - that's why, I suspect, they miss a few items. I've contended that you need to have the focus to maintain concentration for that long - I think you need to have autism or something like that:D.

They could employ Savvy, the quality of their data would improve significantly!

    Just back from MrTs .
Using self scanner for a bit of "normal shopping" found a full box of caramels scanned them into the trolley.
Get to the self scanner checkout and you guessed it security check.
The young guy started to scan stuff which I gave him, to keep him away from the caramels, next minute he find two sub rolls which my OH had not scanned:eek:
Tells me he will need to scan all of shop again:eek:
Here we go I thought but no he scanned everything including the 8 caramels at 1p and didn't bat an eyelid:beer:

A link to further info. will be added here as soon as possible. [Edit: I've had a quick search on the internet and can't find where I found the article at the moment. I'll have a look again later, once I get back to this.]

    Afternoon :)

Till spit heaven in T today - churning out all kinds of cs mocs and vouchers. Worth buying a couple of small items on each card through the manned tills - this morning I got £4 off £30, £6 off £40 and £7 off £50 - so with the £10pp that's £27 off £50 before I think about any other mocs etc :j Haven't done a "big shop in T's for a while ....

And I caught a good price on OJ from a womble that someone posted a few days ago - would love to find the post to thank the OP. Have in mind it was savvy sal but can't find it now :o T's 4 x 1L packs usually £3.40 - going through at £1.70 a pack  Stocked up as we get through a lot of this and this is much cheaper than their EV one. Same price for the 4 x 1L apple juice.

Hope everyone gets a taste of the sunshine that has finally returned today - enjoy the rest of your Saturday :)
