Can he ask around his work and mates. Maybe there is a property group on facebook. Also spareroom.co.uk, airbandb.com and easyroommate.com Look in newsagents windows etc.

DS1 rents with 5 others, not ideal as I think the group is too large when they are all working rather than studying.

He may find that he doesn't earn enough to satisfy a letting agent, so you may need to act as guarantor if he needs to take on a tenancy.

I'm assuming he didn't go to uni, so could you afford to help him out a bit each month if his income is low?

I am assuming that nay info he has got has been from asking people at work who all live and rent in town - that's a thought that they may think he does not earn enough yet as letting agents have to go by what you earn now.

The main problem is that there is literally nothing available - only about 10 things listed on sharerooms and most of these not suitable - no parking, too expensive, people who just want a weekday share etc

Does he live near any Elite that may want a house guest?

He would make the most fantastic house guest but sadly I don't think any Elite lives nearby to him.

I know one of you lives in the lake District but not close enough

Penrith or Ullswater or the left handside of the M6 junction 39

Copied from a typical letting agent blurb:
If you are a student or unemployed you will need a guarantor. You may also require a guarantor should your income fall short of the required figure. To determine this, check that your annual salary is at least 30 times the monthly rent. For example a rent of £500pcm would require a minimum of £15,000 annual salary. Each guarantor will need to complete an application form and be referenced before a tenancy can be considered. The guarantor will also have to sign the deed of guarantee before the tenancy can proceed.

Having been buying Walkers Crisps, I still haven't used my half price GW voucher:rotfl::eek::o

I see they are currently on vs T at £1. Remind me someone - is it the Variety pack that I need to get (it is described on msm as 'Variety' but shows a picture of the 6 Salt & Vinegar)? I have one that msm calls 'Salt & Vinegar' only showing on Mr T (shows a slightly different 6 Salt & Vinegar pack). If I buy Variety does that come up on APG comp. as "Variety" or do I need to buy the 6 Salt & Vinegar to have the "Variety" description appear on APG? I don't want to buy 6 Cheese & Onion for obvious reasons:D:rotfl:. TIA.

No he has finished uni at least for now ..

He wont accept any money - very independent.

When he was at uni if he had a course or a weekend expedition to go on I had literally to beg him to take the money from me to pay for these things even though he only had his part time job at the time.
