Hi which is the nearest station to the IHS please, anyone ?

Catching up not sure if anyone said even though Earl's Court is the nearest tube station literally at the back there is West Bromptom so it does depend which direction you are travelling from. ;)

It was cheaper for me to go from Poole to Clapham then West Brompton, to go to Earl's Court I would have had to go into London and back out again which was more expensive.

It is probably just a southerner thing though having to go in the back door. ;)

    Sweeeeeeet

I've been checking TCB for £19.50 to go confirmed every few days and it's jumped straight from tracked to payable :j :j

The whole family knew how much the missus wanted a kitchenaid mixer so they all decided not to give her xmas presents and gave her cash towards it instead

I managed to get one in as MSE a way as I think was possible :D although it was still a shocking expense

It was £429 reduced to £386 in the Fraser's sale
I got £375 gift cards in T for £365 (I had some conditional spends that were mailed to me ;))
That netted me 2550 CC points thanks to the 150pts per £50 and 100pts per £20+ card
I bought online and got £19.50 TCB cashback (there was some faffing getting all the cards to go through in one transaction but their customer services were a great help :T
All purchases before xmas eve (I think it was) qualified for a £77 ice cream maker attachment :j

So I got £506 of full price goods and paid £365 for the giftcards plus £11 cash and got back £19.50 cashback and enough points for £102 on us to go on dinners out during the year ahead :money:

To think, the missus was just wanting to pay out £429 in cash after xmas

    Loving your style Aau :T

Well an interesting day for me. Had a call at 9.00 from Mum to say she had no electric lights. I went up and tried to get it back on but to no avail. So I came home to get number of the electrician and called him out. However he could not come till 4.30 so I took her a couple of lamps to be going on with. He came at 4.30 and when I got there he said it was all ok and the lights were working and it could have been a bulb nearing the end of its life that made it trip. The electrician did all the work when Mum had her work done by the council last year so he stayed a few minutes to chat. As he was leaving it tripped again and he then ascertained it was one of the plugs and not the lights. We checked all the plugs downstairs and they were ok. We got to the last one behind the telly in my Mums breakfast room and it made it trip. So we moved the telly and found the floor was wet. Mum and Dad had a problem some years ago with a gutter on that wall and one of my brother's got it fixed. However my niece cleverly tied the grape vine to the gutter last summer and it had started the leak again. Whilst we were looking at the plug it started to spark so he disabled it to make it safe. I called my older brother and asked him to get someone to sort the gutter and the electrician will then come back. Really lucky he found it as that is the plug I use when I hoover up.
However my sister and husband had been earlier this afternoon and he supposedly had fixed it. But they omitted to tell Mum what they did and did not tell me. ( sis still not talking to me).
Came home had a bath and settled down to watch a film with DD when phone rang. It was Mum in tears as she had decided to go to bed early and got in a bit if a mess with her clothes. So I went and undressed her and left a note on the door to tell the carer she had gone to bed. She was very tearful and was crying for Dad and saying she was just a nuisance. I gave her a hug and settled her down and then came home. I had a few tears for her and Dad on the way home.
So 4 visits today but at least I care which is more than I can say for my brothers and sisters.

Goodness Rose that was lucky. Poor Mum and what an exhausting day for you.

    Much love xxxx

I've found that if you print this, then turn the sheet over and print on the other side, the positioning on both sides match up well. Double sided looks more professional and less likely to be trouted.
You just have a play about a bit to get both sides the same way up!!

    Good tip :T:T:T
I always print my MOCs in colour, and on good-quality paper (Mellotex, for those in the know:)), so they look and feel like they have been cut straight out of a magazine.

What size are you printing please ?
Did 100%, does it scan ok at 75% ?

Mine are 20cm by 9.5cm, and these scan no problem.
