Morries is nearby whereas Sada is 30+ miles away, so easier for me, especially in this weather:)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Just a thought but after saversues post
maybe whoever starts the thread can nominate a national charity ( stop thinking DM
after national gate I am keeping both eyes on you) and people if they wanted could donate £1 and no need to mention it on here.
Every little helps
Thank YouWhat a nice thought regarding DB
Had a bit of a carp week myself and this thread has helped to keep me sane.
Hospital app with Spinal Surgeon on Wednesday.
Clinic always running about 3 hour late, so took Kindle to read, but actually managed to get free hospital Wi-Fi. This has never happened before.
Was watching something on BBC IPlayer when I got called in.
But couldn't turn it off - in panic turned coat up-side-down and all money on pocket fell onto floor and rolled away.
The man himself had called me, so could hardly start trying to find cash
No one tried to help
Hope they enjoyed spending it.
Kindle still wouldn't switch off in examination room:eek: Surgeon who is new, said leave it it's not too loud
No chance of Surgery for me at the moment, too many things wrong with Spine and less than 50% chance of improvement, with a greater risk of more damage/paralysis.0 -

The kit should have all the parts in and they should be stuck together so it's a case of undoing a few screws, sliding the whole front out and sliding the new one back in again. Slightly more complex but that's the gist. Just make sure there's not any loose shards hanging about from the old one.
Thanks oh is a mechanic so I will get him to do it as he is used to fixing stuff lolCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

£1.10 at M. £2 at A. I think that means they pay you a penny to buy (on apg ofc)0 -
This popped up on my Facebook feed, someone is doing a challenge to only spend £28 on food/drink in February. They want to live on £1 a day. I'm sat there thinking, if that where me on my own (not with DW and kids), that would be easy. 12 burgers for £4 give me 1/3 of my protein for the month straightaway.....and never mind the 1p chocs etc for treats!

This isn't meant to sound flippant or to demean the hardships of people who really do have very limited food budget to live on, but that's a piece of p1ss. My monthly food/drink spends are regularly around the £30-£35 mark, and if I spend over £50 it's been a very expensive month. (I keep all receipts and add up at month-end.) That's just for me; there's no Jelly tots to feed.
Coincidentally, last February I wanted to run down my freezer and cupboard stock, so I set myself a no-spend-on-groceries challenge. Bear in mind I only have a fridge-freezer, and a tins & dried goods cupboard, so it's not like I had a mountain of food. It certainly was a challenge, and it made me think a lot about using different foodstuffs in different ways, but I went 27 days without any food/drink spends. (Just one day short of a full month! Drat!!!) Again, I'm not saying this for the kudos; it's just what happened.
I was thinking about doing something similar this February as well; though that would be easier, with the M/S stocks.:)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
