Me and TH only tried the boxed sets earlier today, no Minnie mouse in those and all still £2.50
I only went for adult books tonight but everything was looking emptier than when me and TH were there earlier today.
Oo err missus
On that bombshell I shall bid you all goodnight :wave:0 -
Hi Truly,
I've always been happy but life has it's ups and downs and unfortunately for me more downs recently.
Tried a different 1p store tonight (an Extra in Oldham), first time I've seen the handheld scanners that everyone talks about.
I looked for headphones as I need a new set but none found. I did manage to get one ES amaretto and lots more Thorntons Toffee. My wife has spotted them in my stash garage and still thinks I've got a problem but I know she likes Thorntons toffee so she should be happy.
Good night all.

I really must sign up for it
Don't worry I made up for it at M&S.
My OH signed up for it with my card, because he usually goes his way with the scanner and the kids and I go get my stuff alone. He doesn't like being around when I start using coupons :rotfl:
I am really going to bed now0 -
Hi there:), this ought to be renamed the 1p thread whilst Savvybuyer posts items that cost pounds:(:rotfl:.
As part of my disservice to Northern Ireland readers, this. Some of these items are not as good as others. Avs T (and Avs S), the main issue is putting the items individually into the basket and then going through them to put the competitor prices back in. I might get to one of those around Thurs. night (also a chance to catch up with the latest price changeovers) - so something by the weekend, maybe.
Meanwhile this short list was easier to prepare.
Tvs M
Young's Mariners Pie (340g)
£2.00 99p (so scrap the idea of the Fisherman's Pie at £1 vs A n/a) Diff. £1.01
Tesco Pizza Base Mix (145g)
75p 63p (but some much larger Pizza Base Mix - 290g - in A for 70p, and perhaps that in turn is Avs someone else for 10% chpr) Diff. 12p
Tesco Ripen at home Avocados (4)
£1.75 £1.00 Diff. 75p
Tesco Everyday Value Onions (1Kg)
63p 50p :eek:Perhaps it will be missed? Diff. 13p
Spontex Non Scratch Washups (2)
70p 50p :eek:Quite expensive. Diff. 20p.
Spontex Washups (2)
70p 50p :eek:Quite expensive. Diff. 20p
Tesco Everyday Value Cream Cleaner (500ml)
30p 30p Diff. 0p
Colgate Advanced White Toothpaste Tube (100ml)
£1.34 99p (don't know how I managed to find this, as a Tvs M item. Msm logged in and out shows no trace for Mr A. Sains £2.69 (does not compare to M). I think it got identified as an item available in M and not avail. in A but avail. in T - therefore put onto "Tvs M comparable" and now noticed on offer in M! So a bit of identifying 100ml Colgates as N/A for A, saved to "Tvs M comparable" from that store collection, and now 99p price from m.com:T:j:D:rotfl:) Diff. 35p
Lajkonik Paluszki Sticks (300g)
50p N/A
Trebor Softmints Spearmint (4 per pack)
£1.59 £1.00 (I think I'm being a bit churlish to leave this off before, simply because of £1 price, when technically you can get own brands cheaper etc. But need, with the Trebor, to check that the ones in T are exactly the same size as M's - check m.com!) Diff. 59p
Trebor Soft Fruits (4)
£1.59 £1.00 (need to check weights carefully and make sure M's are exact same) Diff. 59p
Cadbury Hot Chocolate Sponge Puddings (2x110g)
£2.00 £1.00 Diff. £1.00
Mates Skyn Original Condoms (10)
£10.00 £6.32:rotfl: Diff. £3.68
Mates Skyn Extra Lubricated Condoms (10)
£10.00 £6.32:rotfl: Diff. £3.68
This M.com is the next thing behind brilliance (after having M prices on msm) isn't it? Much easier able to check and confirm M's prices.
Hope the above helps someone, somewhere, and let's hope T PP is up to date and agrees with these prices (or the N/A on the Lajkonik as applicable).0 -
Many thanks to everyone here- quite a successful evening.
8x Disney Candy Canes (these are brill! BBE 2015)
6x golden Lindt caramel balls of wonder
1x Panasonic headphones
1x energiser pocket torch
3x Moshi blind bags
1x birthday candle
2x paper clip and other gubbins packs
Aside from the security guard and manager who decided to treat us like we were doing something illegal at Southbury road (knobs) we had a lovely evening.
My favourite line? 'If items come up at 1p you're supposed to inform a member of staff'
And say what? Excuse me madam these items are too cheap!
Please. You can suck my Lindt balls.
G'night all!

have you checked your price promise, did you have more shopping??
sorry for all the questions but mine has just come through and it s for over £22 :eek::eek:
what now ????
Great yours obviously worked. My receipt said I was paying 5.20 each so didn't go through my order in the end. I wouldn't have got an APG...We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits.0 -
