They told me all 1p stuff gets sent to charity.
So I asked them why I saw a member of staff with a sheet of 1p labels. Manager said, Head Office send them, but they are not allowed to put them out or sell things for 1p.
    Work that one out.:rotfl:

Wish I had taken a picture of the 1p SEL in my store today then. ;)

It was the strip light bulbs that were scanning 5p before.

    Hi all,

I hope it's ok if I join in? Money is tight for us at the moment, 2 small children so I only work part time and poor OH works full time.

Thanks to reading this thread this morning I managed to find some 1p items a pair of jvc colour pop headphones, gingerbread stars and I also found 'Norfolk a miscellany' book for 1p. Also in store, kit kat chunk normal and mint for 20p.

    Welcome clairebear. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • I'm in the process of negotiating the 'loan' of some freezer space with friends, for my overflow of M&S & related bargains shopping.

Freezer space negotiations have gone well. I've already transferred a box of M&S ready meals and Warburtons bread - for the hand-over we met in a car park, like a scene out of a spy movie.

I thought the role-playing might help my friend overcome her nervous nellie-ness - the old military adage of The 7 Ps - but it looks like I'm going to be her surrogate M&S shopper. Such fun!:)
