not a good day yesterday with my sister we have to go back to London and she will need a termination. The hydrocephalus has taken over the brain and given the fact of 14 weeks left the little baby would have no quality of life or probably do anything for himself. The case is marked as severe
off to m&s today for food today will try and take my mind off things
thanks for listening x
So sorry to hear this Sarah, how utterly devastating.x
Massive hugs to your sister. I know exactly what she is going through. My firstborn DD had this and spina bifida. A scan picked it up and was immediately passed to fetal medicine who confirmed that the quality of life she would have would be minimal. I did get a second opinion before deciding to terminate but it was the hardest thing we had to do.
I did have to go through the birth process and she was born asleep. I don't tell many people the reason but i feel that it helps that your sister is not alone.
SANDS is a charity that helps you come to terms with what has happened and they really helped us in the beginning.
I think you will need to give her lots of support as I became very depressed after and felt guilty of what I had to do.
That was 6 and a half years ago and the pain has eased but there is never a day that goes by that I don't think of her.
Huge hugs to you ekroys.
"Born asleep" is quite possible the most heartbreaking saying I know.
Thank you for sharing your story with us hun xqueen_of_cheap wrote: »I am 1p stashless

They told me all 1p stuff gets sent to charity.
So I asked them why I saw a member of staff with a sheet of 1p labels. Manager said, Head Office send them, but they are not allowed to put them out or sell things for 1p.
Work that one out.:rotfl:

Afternoon peeps.
Been in T's for a few hours scanning, 5 hours to be truthful.
Been dipping in here on and off. Saw Auu's pic and found the kids headlights. Saw mildreds post and found the JVC headphones. Thankyou.
I also found around 30 or so other 1p items as well, from pencils, pens, post it notes, birthday stuff, keyrings and loads more. But when I realised I had over 300 items in the trolley, I bottled it:eek: So I stashed it all and I'm going back around midnight when my favourite SA will be on.0 -
I really want some of those philips headsets but my local took them off me . Might try ebay0
