Such sad news on her today, best wishes for anyone suffering from losses, accidents and ill health.

I went on a 1p hunt very late last night, to a store I don't usually visit. Thought I had hit the jackpot 18 boxes of Lindt Caramel, 9 ES, 10 Calculators, 11 boxes of mixed paper clips and 12 packs of Hello Kitty Stickers ( don't think they have been reported)
Scanned all at SS, nobody taking any notice, nearly at end when a drunk rolled up, who stank of booze and demanded to know what I was buying.
Two assistants came to remove him but saw the screen and told me I couldn't buy any of it
Was not happy, 20 mile round trip wasted.
Could only happen to me :rotfl:

What a morning of mixed emotions. I've just caught up from yesterday & read such sad, sad news. No words can help but my heart & prayers go out to all those affected. It just makes me realise how lucky I am. We've lots of problems but they pale into insignificance.


I'd like to thank whoever posted about the 1p sweets. I went into my local & found the Xmas balls, scanned 1 & hey presto, success. I went back & emptied the 2 boxes on the shelf into my basket, I'm not greedy I promise but like to give to others as well. I started scanning & then realised some were going thro' at full price. They hadn't had the new price code put on. I called the lovely sa & she checked the dates then counted them up (15) & then input them manually. 31 in total = 31p. My family will be so pleased as they're lovely.
