I'm about to embark on sorting out a couple of errors on my credit file including an entry showing a defaulted account that at first had me scratching my head.

Its showing ''Barclays Bank'' but the account is actually with Home Shopping Group and I discussed the account with them some years back when HSG declared there was no debt to enforce and would not be contacting me again (which they havn't). I'm searching for the paperwork.

Barclays Bank are the bankers for HSG. Is the entry showing ''Barclays Bank'' an error in itself that they must remove. ?

I have a sofa from SCS but it doesn't say SCS on my credit report it says Barclays finance as it's them who does the finance.
Barclays financed HSG which is why it says BARCLAYS on your credit file.
Are you on a wind up by any chance?"You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"0 -

I'm thinking with a consumers head on. I buy a TV in Argos that is faulty so my grief is with Argos not Bush ?
and
why therefore did Barclays recently send me a cheque for over £1100 linked to the snag with past loans and interest when they could have kept it to put towards this so called default. ?0 -
Probably a different department entirely that never knew about the HSG account default.
I never knew HSG was financed by barclays either...:beer:0
