Hello
I was employed on a 2 year fixed term contract from 2007 to end of 2008, and took out a loan, would i be correct in thinking that generally payment protection insurance would not have been suitable for this employment scenario and so not sold to me - I ask as i have recently received a letter from my bank advising me that i can make a claim.
the loan was for 4 to 5 years by the way

All I can say to that is check your terms & conditions (if you don't have a copy ring up and ask if they can send you one). They will tell you whether you're covered or not.
Generally speaking fixed term contracts are not likely to be covered, though sometimes there is an exception if they have been renewed on at least a certain number of occasions.0
