Does anyone have any experience with Brother ink jet printers I have this months copy of Which and they show cheap to run printers 1 best buy MFC-J870DW annual costs stated at £25 But the printer is expensive Best price I can find is £132 I think There is another on at £90 Brother DCP-J552DW Cost £22 annual costs It is bacically the same as the above except you dont get ethernet or NFC connectivity but I don't know what this is. Also rread that it was difficult to set up.
Only know Epson All rounders they state Epson XP710 annual costs £62 not checked the price online for this Which say £130 more than I want to pay really
Canon is stated as being the most reliable but need to look further Table shows 1 Canon 2 Brother 3 Samsung 4HP 5 Epson but who knows The epson reviews I am now reading seem to have the same problem as I had black ink not printing XP 800 particularly I think I am now over thinking it and just should buy one and hope for the best.

Printers are dirt cheap - the purchaser is then fleeced for ink.
I am amazed that so few people use CIS on their printers. I have used it for 18 months - my ink costs are so low I ignore them. I have carried out a number of comparison tests and am happy that this ink is as good as OEM ink - if not better ! My CIS supplier also supplies pigment ink - which most of the usual ink manufacturers (inc the "big boys") don't. THAT is better ink !!0 -
Hi we have just bought the Epson XP700 from pcworld. £99 with cashback from Epson of £15. Seems ok up to now but we have always had Epson.
Hope that helps Radders0 -
Thank you both for the info Like you I have only ever had Epson and really the XP605 was a problem but may just have been unlucky

I have a Samsung 3 in 1 colour laser printer/copier/scanner, it's excellent.
It replaced an old Samsung 3 in 1 colour laser that had given me nearly 10 years great service and was cheap to run.
Another excellent alternative is a Dell 3 in 1 colour laser. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Need to disregard those reviews about annual costs, everyone's annual cost will be different.
Mono laser printer is an ideal way to go, had the dell 1130 now for 18 months, only had to buy 1 toner so far at a cost of £13.
Home bargains have a mono laser printer for £39, no idea on brand or what toner costs.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Thanks for all the information I think it would be just take a pin and take a chance When you read too much you just become confused which is where I am at right now.
