Hi after some advice please....
Received a letter from Santander offering me guaranteed acceptance on their 0% for 29 months BT card.
We are tackling our debts this year and I currently have 3 active Credit Cards all on 0% paying a bit over the minimum - total is £7619 on my cards. I also have a LLoyds card with 0 balance and £4950 credit.
Just wondering whether it is worth applying for Santander or is that too much credit available to me? I could close down the LLoyds card if Santander give me a good credit limit - have a £3.5k balance on card with 0% ending in JUly this year and would be looking to clear the whole balance within the 0% period.
Thanks for any advice.

Sometimes guaranteed acceptance isn't guaranteed, it depends on the exact wording.
If the transfer would be useful then it's probably worth an application of you haven't made many others recently, no more than say three every six months is safe.
Also many people would say that you might struggle if your debts and available credit are large in relation to your income, if you post your salary, available credit and actual debt you might get some more advice, if you don't want to post actual numbers then percentages wil, do equally as well.0 -
You don't have any balance to transfer, so there is no point of getting a new BT card.
If your financial situation doesn't change, you should still be able to get the Santander card in July, when you will have a balance to transfer.
If you have some essential big spending to do, you could put it on the Lloyds card and then transfer it to the Santander, but I'm sure you know not to spend just for the sake of it.0 -
On this offer from Santander you will get a card, my credit limit was the same as my other card with Santander.
The BT offer is for the life of the deal as well. Also with Santander you can merge credit limits.0 -
Thanks for the replies. Think i will leave it then......don't need a BT card right now and need to focus on paying debt off and closing down cards rather than getting new ones that i dont need! Better to ty for a cashback card for regular spending and pay off in full each month .0
