My Ebay accounts been restricted :(

Options
Basically I had another account that I made some mistakes with over a year ago which resulted in that account getting a permanent suspension from selling on ebay.

I learnt from my mistakes and opened another account. I sold a few things on there posting them all within 2 days, sending buyers a message thanking them for their purchase, marking the item as despatched right away, leaving positive feedback right after receiving payment and in general trying to be the best seller I could possibly be. This account was restricted by ebay for being associated with the other account. After contacting ebay I somehow (I'm not sure how) managed to get the suspension lifted on this account, sold a few more items then received a higher selling allowance.

I can't see how the stars are on my account as I haven't sold enough to see but I'm betting they're really good and I have not done anything to give anyone a reason to think I am a bad seller. I think I have proven that I have learnt from my mistakes and will not let my account get that bad again.

Then today - over a year after opening this account I received an email telling me that I have once again been associated with the other account and had my selling allowances restricted. I don't know what else I can do as I have been trying my best to redeem myself and proove that I am a good and trustworthy seller. I am unable to contact ebay till the morning but does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach ebay to get this situation sorted please?

I thought a suspension from Ebay was indefinite?? I'm surprised your second account was allowed to continue. I wonder if, as the e-mail states they have spotted you using a linked account again. You can try and argue the case with them but its doubtful you will win I'm afraid. I think Ebay look badly on anyone setting up a second account when suspended. Were you told how long the first account would be suspended for??

Um, where to start -actually theonlywayisup has rather summed it up.

To explain to anyone unaware of the ebay rules, once you are restricted or suspended on one account you cannot open or use any other account for selling to get round that restriction. Opening another account should mean once caught (and it is not always instantly, it can take years sometimes and usually just when a new business has spent hundreds of pounds on stock) they catch and suspend you again.

The only thing that susprises me here is the statement

This account was restricted by ebay for being associated with the other
account. After contacting ebay I somehow (I'm not sure how) managed to get the
suspension lifted on this account, sold a few more items then received a higher
    selling allowance.

As this decision goes against ebay's stated rules- and I assume this was done by the Phillipines CS department who seem not to have any working knowledge at all with their own rules. I suspect once the Dublin CS team noticed the correct rule was put in place.

OP, the only way to get back on, and it is a slim chance, is to get the original account back- not the new ones but the first banned one. However ebay are now unlikely to do this as they consider opening a new account to be a very serious breach.

One last thing, you will now get PMs from people trying to talk you into stealth accounts- that would mean opening yet another account and once again forever waiting to be suspended again.

so - no way back for OP then - that seems harsh

did the crime, (seems to have) learned the lesson (although may have created a bigger "crime" in doing so)

is it truly one strike and you out

    not being judgemental just surprised
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

its not one strike. its various account failings and then out.
Opening another account vs contacting eBay and seeing if that account could be reinstated.
You dont even know what 'mistakes' the OP made.
if a scammer didnt send items and kept the mnoey. would you be happy they then opened another account?

Two strikes actually, first the problems with the original aco!!!!, then a blatant breach of rules by opening another.
