I have been a user of hotmail and gmail for awhile now but just wondered if there is an alternative secure email storage account out there that I have missed. Just worried that info on gmail/hotmail is not secure from hackers etc.... Can anyone advise please?

Unless you're storing particularly sensitive information, there shouldn't be any particular security risks. Make sure you have a strong password and you should be fine.0 -
If you're that worried you could allways set up a Pop account somewhere
For example if you mainly used your home pc, if you set up a POP account when you check yoru email in outlook or exchange etc, then it would download all your emails to YOUR machine thus no matter how secure/insecure gmail is, nothing can be accessed[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

transmitting anything sensitive by email is risky but gmail hotmail etc use passwords just the same as your own POP account would. Just make sure the password is a strong one and you should be fine.2007 Comping Challenge - Earn back your internet cost in prizes
