Help with Capita...

Options
If this is the wrong place to post, I apologise.

I recently arranged to sell some BP shares through Capita.....

I arranged to sell through the website and they sent the CREST form confirming the sale, now today I received a letter from them stating:

we have recently received an instruction to transfer shares out of your name

if you did not authorise this instruction please contact us immediately

The thing that set alarm bells ringing was the "transfer shares out of your name" I'm concerned that somehow something untoward has happened....

Surely they would just say 'an instruction to sell shares'....

Is it standard practice to term a sale as a transfer?

Should I contact them asap?

any help is appreciated.
