Er, have you checked your credit record? You can do it for a couple of quid and it should tell you what defaults and bankruptcy are listed.
Even if you don't have a bankruptcy listed (i.e. when the six year period is up) you could be asked if you've ever been made bankrupt and to keep within the law you'd have to tell them the truth. There are many employers who will take you on with a bankruptcy record.
It depends on the type of job and it's always better to be honest and explain the circumstances.0
