HI Hun congrats on getting married,me and my OH have decided that we're gonna get wed next year and i come from a large family(who quite frankly i barely know)so we have decided to have a very quiet ceremony,20 guests then all back to our place for lovely BBQ(which my aunt and uncle have offered to cook) Most peeps love a BBQ and the atmosphere is less formal, back up plan if it rains, make a buffett the night before, before we'd decieded all this we had thought of going to a nice country pub we discussed with the owners that we'd have about 20 guests and they were gonna close the restaraunt for us at no charge.
Good luck with it all.
Hugs

We had 30 at our wedding. I was really worried that it would all look daft with so little people but it was perfect. We had about 80 in total at night and I was so busy enjoying myself that I barely got a chance to speak to people so im glad there wasnt anymore than that there.

Congrats!!!
You don't need to have many people at your wedding. Mine will consist of the OH family as only my mum, dad, bro and g.dad will be there. There is no point inviting everyone who you have not seen for years and feeding them IMO. As long as you have a good time and plan the wedding how u want it then everything will be fine. Look at the plus side of things as I am......... less people = less money
Good luck

Hi Bugbabe
I have just got married whilst on holiday. There was only 9 of us there and 5 of them were children! Just a friend and her husband & family and me and my now husband and our children.
the day was fantastic as i didn't have to worry about who was talking to who etc1 it was all about Us and nobobdy else.
my family were very surprised but very happy. the photos are great as well as they were taken on a local beach where we have holidayed before so very personal.
For the rest of the family we will be organising a party which will probably be more stressful.
It's your day enjoy it whoever is there with you.

Your wedding is for YOU TWO not your guests.
My partner and I are registering our civil partnership next month - she is australian and has no-one here and I have a few family, that's all we need (and we are both approaching 60!!!). We want to celebrate with the select few.
I would have thought after 18 years together anyway you will have many friends of you both. Relax, it's not a day to worry about as it will look after itself. It will be a day to remember whichever way it turns out - ENJOY

My partner and I are having a civil partnership in about 3 weeks (OMG that came around quickly! lol)
We've just got close family and friends coming, only about 25 people including for the registry office then a buffet at my mother's house. I was worrying about the same thing tbh, but then thought to hell with it, it's our day and we don't HAVE to invite everybody and their dog. As long as the people we care about are there, then that's all that matters!
Have a great day!I may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel

My parents had a quiet wedding, it was lovely and intimate, don't worry sometimes big white weddings cause more stress!0
