"Energy price comparison and switching sites are misleading customers over the cheapest deals and are inflating household bills through millions of pounds in secret commission charges, it has been alleged.
Ramsay Dunning, group general manager of small energy supplier Co-Operative Energy, called for the creation of an independent, not-for-profit switching site operated by the government or regulator to offer consumers impartial advice."

This report was raised on another thread(the UW thread for some reason) and the post and a reply(not by me!), has since been deleted.

Also mentioned in their alias thread from post #13

(Though I probably shouldn't mention that lest it gets pulled as well (or are they the posts you were thinking of and misplaced?))

I think the reason Co-op and UW advocates mention it is due to the admittedly ridiculous and wrong way that Ofgem allows 'approved' 'impartial' comparison sites to default to a misleadingly worded (to newbies) final question - "show me tariffs you can switch me to today". It is not obvious that this default should be changed to 'no'.

I wonder how much the energy club gets from the suppliers it switch
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
