Children Insurance Policy - Maturity - Reinvestment

Options
Hi - an insurance policy we have been paying for our dd has recently matured and we have £2,500 to reinvest. Where's the best place to put it? She will be 16 next birthday and I want her to be able to access it either to pay for books, etc at uni if she chooses to go or to use towards a house deposit (drop in the ocean I know!) when she gets a bit older. Thanks

    Halifax Junior ISA.

If you stick £1 in an ISA for a parent (assuming no desire to use that cash ISA allowance elsewhere) the Junior ISA will pay 6%. No access until the child is 18 at which point the child controls the cash.
