Credit card payment after balance transfer

Hi, quick question
I recieved my bill dated 8th jan for £1916
Did a balance transfer for 1900 on to new card
So payment recieved to card for £1900 14th jan
Spent £200 since,
Do I just pay the £16 this timeor do I have to clear the full balance to make sure I don't get charged interest.
I thought I read that balance transfer payment don't count towards minimum payments.

You only need to pay the £16 before the due date to avoid interest (assuming that the December statement was paid in full and the January statement had no interest charges on it)
