Would you get a custom size bed?

We want a king-size bed (150cm wide) but not the standard 200cm length due to restricted space in bedroom - we need it to be 190cm, which is the standard length of singles and doubles. We are both 5'6-7" so I think that bed length will be fine even if we are stretched out. Bentalls department store in Kingston upon Thames…

Thanks all v much for your help and comments.
In the end we decided we could do without the extra width and went for a standard double - a nice wood bedstead frame from Warren Evans with 3/4-length fitted wooden drawers underneath (which are huge and look great) and I ordered the Braemar mattress separately.
However, I have a separate question now - which I think I might start a new thread on as it's a different issue ...
