Who for, about what, what do you gain? Forgive me for asking but this does look a little suspicious:o

I agree with everything that has been said I just think it would have been nice to know in advance so that you have some idea before you press that button what you are letting yourself in for. Sorry if I upset op did not mean to. sarer.0 -

Many thanks for those of you who filled in the questionnaire so far. Let me try and address a number of questions
<O:p</O:p
>Who for,<O:p</O:p
As others have highlighted (thank you!), we are a group of researchers from l. I am the research coordinator, and you can read about who I am, the kind of work I do, and my research publication record if you click on the link ‘research coordinator’ on the first page of the survey.
</O:p
>about what,<O:p</O:p
In simple words we are modelling consumer perceptions of electronic service quality perceptions. If anyone is interested, please send me an email and I will send you an abstract of the research proposal.
<O:p</O:p
<O:p
</O:p
>what do you gain? <O:p</O:p
An enhanced understanding of the underlying constructs of electronic service quality, and their complex interactions. We hope to disseminate our findings through journal publications and presentations at conferences. Again, if anyone is interested, we are quite happy to send the research output.

You as the respondent, gain the chance of winning a £30 Amazon voucher.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
>except the questions were a bit wordy<O:p</O:p
We are very aware of this. However for theoretical reasons we have had no choice.
<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
>Took about five minutes<O:p</O:p
That is exceptionally fast!
<O:p</O:p
>i'll be interested to see if anything materialises with regards to the amazon vouchers<O:p</O:p
We will honour our commitment.
<O:p</O:p
I did not want to put all this information in my very first post, since I thought that the post would be rather long and put people off. In retrospect, it would have been a good idea. <O:p</O:p

Thanks again for those of you who filled in the questionnaire. We have not quite reached the 500 completed questionnaires as yet. As of this writing, this post has generated 550 views – but not that many of you have completed the questionnaire. So please keep on filling the survey.

Hi jc1
Many thanks for your reply and all your answers. Hopefully you'll reach your target of 500, after many people who were concerned, now fill in the survey if they so wish.
Hope the answers generate what you were hoping for - whatever that may be!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

I agree about the wording being difficult & I've been to uni. It's hard though to use everyday language when you're used to technical / different words

NB: I don't think the number of views of the thread relate to unique viewers, so many people have viewed the thread several times & these views are counted as well.
Good luck with your research

Thanks for your reply jc1 ~ I feel much more reassured. I am pleased in a way that you did post as you did, as it made me take a step back.0

I did fill everything out, upto the very last survey question, but then declined to give my name and address details.
This was because the page was not https:// style.
Shame really.
Especially as the survey did ask about the security of sites from which we purchased.
Oh and I did say I don't trust sites automatically.
I think I should get a voucher for pointing out a flaw in the site design that did not allow it to get responses from a certain section of the online shopping community.;)If you are at a poker game and you cannot figure out who is the patsy then guess what...you're the patsy - Warren Buffet0 -
