MSE Site Help Needed

A How do I post in such a way that I can find the post again among the hundreds of other posts? I never seem to remember the thread title and I'm sure when I used to use the site daily at 1 point theres a way of doing this.

B Is it possible to find my old posts, I've tried using the 'user control panel' but must be doing something wrong

For point A (and possibly , click on your name at the top of the page (Where is says "Welcome wordsfan...")

That will take you to this page:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/member.php?u=210090

Now click on the tab that says "Statistics"

And you'll see a link which says
"Find all posts by wordsfan"
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=210090

And underneath that, another one that says
"Find all threads started by wordsfan"
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=210090&starteronly=1

You could also subscribe to the thread using the thread tools on the green bar

This would be my option. just click on 'Thread tools' which is on the green bar (at the top of the page) and 'Subscribe to this thread'.
Then to find your subscriptions you just click on 'User CP' (on the same green bar).
