Parking Charge Notice Luton Airport APCOA

Hi there guys,

I have just received a PCN for
02 Droppinf off/Picking outside of a designated parking area
This was in the main roundabout in fron of Luton Airport , car was just to the side on the access roads, really not blocking anyone

The alleged offence 05/01 and the letter is dated 23/01

They mention POPLA may be engaged as a final avenue once APCOA appeals process has been exhausted.

The fine is for 40£ if paid in 28 days or 80£ otherwise.

What do you advise me to do?
Ask them through writing a a letter t o send it to POPLA

Shil I send an email to BPA/DVLA as well ?

Many thanks!!!
:o

#1 Read the NEWBIES sticky thread.

#2 Search this forum for Luton or APCOA - there are LOADS of threads about this.

I see APCOA have pretty much abandoned use of POFA. This is out of time, quite apart from not being relevant land, anyway.

Hmmmm you should also (I hope) have taken on board the advice higher up because the advice you quoted is quite correct but WAS NOT TELLING YOU TO IGNORE IT! The fact they don't use POFA 2012 doesn't make it somehow illegal - and nor does it mean that the registered keeper should not respond with the usual appeal in the 'Newbies' sticky thread - which to be fair, already fully covers this scenario and gives at least one linked example of an Airport 'first appeal' letter template to adapt.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did read now the thread.

So my letter does not mention any POFA 2012.

So anyway I should appeal to them because it is not a registered keeper liability notice under POFA and anyway airports/train stations are not relevan land under POFA.

And I should ask them for a POPLA code if they do not cancel the PCN....

That's what I understood. And I should do this straight away :D
