Term time work

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I'm a single parent currently working full time and I have been finding it quite difficult lately at work.
I have been looking at alternative employment and have come across a job that seems ideal, it is a student support role in the local college but it is part time and term time, I just wondered if anyone knows if i will get additional tax credits during the summer holidays etc when I'm not earning a wage?
I dont want to give up full time employment to struggle with part time as I also have a mortgage.
Any help would be much appreciated. I have an interview on Monday and want to know before doing anything defo aye.
Many thanks
Ps I live in Northern Ireland just incase it makes a difference

It may depend on how they pay you. I have heard of educational institutions pro-rata-ing the part time pay across 12 months of the year, also you may only get paid for the months you are working. You may need to find this out first, or ringing the tax credits people and explaining maybe easier? You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

If you are a term time worker, you are treated as working those hours all year around. So in theory your tax credits will stay the same amount each month regardless of whether it is holidays or not (providing no other changes of course).
