Sugarcraft supplies
Hi,
I have just started a sugarcraft evening course. After 2 classes I am really enjoying it just seem to be having to buy lots.
So far I have used Amazon and eBay but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for cheap supplies either shops/websites.
Main thing seems to be cake boards and also the edible items e.g. icing etc.
Also wondering if anyone knew of anywhere to buy gluten free cake mixes...lazy i know but when working full time and having to make a cake in an evening for class the next day mixes seem to be a lifesaver.
Thanks

Have a look at your local ASDA or Tesco for gluten free cake mixes, they both have specialist gluten free aisles.0

Whereabouts do you live? There are generally cake decorating supplies shops in most towns - I know of 4 within a 6 mile radius of my home, with one only 1 mile away. They're generally easier for buying odd boards, and TBH Asda's white fondant is as good as any other brand
WHen you begin to get hooked, look at TK Maxx, as they have lots of stuff and it changes regularly too. Or look at websites like Windsors or Pretty Witty Cakes.0 -
my mum thinks that Morrisons is better for gluten free...
My local market has a great cake stall that also sell all kinds of things for brewers - so have a look around when you next get the chance...
Home bargains has cheap paper cases and bits - but it can be a bit hit and miss as to what they have...
