G24 appeal unsuccesful - POPLA appeal unsuccesful

Options
I am in need of a little advice please?!

I have appealed to G24 about my PCN and they denied. I then appealed to POPLA, they also denied. I have been in contact with Pizza Hut and they have said they cannot do anything.

I overstayed in a G24 - Pizza Hut car park and G24 said that the spend does not justify the over stay. However, there was a group of us that split the bill on separate cards.

Where can I go from here? What can I do next?
Help?! :(

you should have come here earlier for help with your popla appeal, I assume you only used mitigation instead of the correct wording in order to win at popla

this thread tells you everything you need (and needed) to know https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

but you only get one chance at popla, so you either pay up or you wade through lots of debt collector letters and see if they take you to court or not

there is the chance that you will win in court, or that they may never take you to court, if you do not pay

the time when you should have come here asking for advice was about 2 months ago in the 28 days you had to draft your popla appeal before submitting it

ps:- this is more like how your popla appeal should have looked https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4798215 post #5

Another "secret" clause in the contract between PPC and landowner.

Firstly, Pizza Hut are being rather liberal with the truth. G24 are THEIR agents so they CAN, if they want, cancel the charge. You might want to contact the Pizza Hut board - I can't find the CEO's address but the address of the CFO is henry.birts@yum.com

Secondly, G24 are a bunch of scammers that break their own contracts - they nearly lost their domain name ( i.e. g24.co.uk ) because they lied to Nominet ( come on G24 sue me if you really think that is not correct :rotfl:). They also evade paying VAT and HMRC are investigating them. Add to this that they have NEVER done court ( can't think why :rotfl:) and you can safely now ignore away. You may get a few pathetic letters from CCS Collect - some may even have been coloured by the office monkey - but they are harmless.

Interestingly, one of their Directors, a certain Adrian King, is also a Director of a company in Hove near me - it looks rather "dodgy" as well. I'll be investigating this Adrian !

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Gawd how on earth did anyone lose a POPLA appeal v G24? Sorry. Never heard of anyone losing one against them, would have needed a simple one-liner about 'the charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of any loss incurred'. No matter, just remember it for next time you get one, to check on forums about how to win at POPLA at the time you have the issue.

G24 don't do court but you need to be more assertive with the complaint to Pizza Hut.

Complain again to Pizza Hut, showing them MORE THAN ONE proof of purchase from your group that day of course. Start with a rant on their facebook page/Twitter about this harassment, and then if no joy from that complaint, send an email to the CEO or MD of Pizza Hut like all the successful people did already on this forum. As shown in links in the 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' sticky thread near the top - several about Pizza Hut - I can't recall a complaint declined...so I guess so far, you may have just phoned up and spoke to 'someone' who you allowed to just fob you off? That's not what I call a complaint. We are encouraging you to try again in writing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What should I write on their Facebook page?
  • Sorry but you really need to use your own brain to work out what to write on a face book page.
